The Fellas, or more precisely, The Fellas Social Club, Inc., is a group of professional African-American men whose principal purpose is to come together in brotherhood, friendship, and fellowship. Our members provide personal, professional and social support to each other, as well as to our families and friends, and finally to the community and the world at large. The organization was founded in New York City in 1963 with 12 original members. Though originally founded as a social group, in the 1970’s the members created a philanthropic arm, the Fellas College Scholarship Fund, whose purpose was to provide financial assistance to students of color in their pursuit of higher education. This effort has been and continues to be a tremendous success. The Fellas have thrived through the years, and though the names and faces have changed, the goals and bonds have remained the same. As we navigate our seventh decade of existence, the Fellas continue to be dedicated and passionate about our activities and legacy.
